Rothman Institute Accepting Nominations for Family Business of The Year
MADISON, NJ (February 24, 2011) —Nominate your favorite family-owned firm for consideration in the 2011 New Jersey Family Business of the Year Awards granted by Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship.
For the past 19 years, the Rothman Institute handed out this annual award, which is given to the finest family businesses in the state and recognizes them at an awards luncheon in October.
There are two categories for companies to enter: companies with annual revenues of up to $10 million and those over $10 million. Last year’s winners were the Ingrassia Construction Company of Middlesex, NJ (up to $10 million category) and the Accurate Box Company of Paterson, NJ (over $10 million category).
The awards program, sponsored by the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship at Fairleigh Dickinson University, PNC, and New Jersey Monthly magazine, represents the only statewide effort to specifically honor family-owned companies for their significant role in the economy and contributions to the community.
Part of the Silberman College of Business since 1989, the mission of the Rothman Institute for Entrepreneurship is to teach and support entrepreneurship and innovation in the academic, business and nonprofit communities. An outstanding entrepreneurship curriculum taught by an excellent faculty has helped make the academic program among the top 20 in the nation.
