Innovation Lecture to Feature Avon Chairman and CEO
The fourth annual CEO Innovation Lecture will feature Andrea Jung, chairman and CEO of Avon Products, speaking on “Innovation: The Key to Navigating the Shifting Economic Landscape,” on Thursday, November 19, in Lenfell Hall, Hennessy Hall, College at Florham.
Jung was listed number 5 on Fortune magazine’s “50 Most Powerful Women in Business” list, where she has appeared since the list’s inception. In 2008, she ranked number 19 on the Forbes list of “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.” She has been ranked on The Wall Street Journal’s “50 Women to Watch” since 2004, and was one of only 18 executives included in the U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Leaders 2007.”
Jung joined the company in January 1994 as president, Product Marketing Group, Avon U.S. She was appointed CEO in 1999 and elected chairman in 2001.
Presently, Jung is responsible for developing and executing all of the company’s long-term growth strategies, launching new brand initiatives, developing earning and opportunities for women worldwide and defining Avon as the premier direct seller of beauty products.
