![]() Holiday and Time-off Schedule The holiday and time-off schedule for all nonfaculty employees for the fiscal year from June 30, 2008, through July 1, 2009, has been announced, and features the following: Labor Day — Monday, September 1 Thanksgiving — Wednesday, November 26; Thursday, November 27; Friday, November 28 Christmas — Wednesday, December 24; Thursday, December 25 Shut-down Days — Friday, December 26; Monday, December 29; Tuesday, December 30 New Year — Wednesday, December 31, 2008; Thursday, January 1, 2009; Friday, January 2, 2009 Martin Luther King Jr. Day — Monday, January 19, 2009 Spring Recess — Thursday, March 19, 2009; Friday, March 20, 2009 Memorial Day — Monday, May 25, 2009 Four-day Work Week (8 weeks) — Beginning Friday, June 13, 2008, through the week ending Friday, August 1 For the 2008–2009 academic calendar go to http://www.fdu.edu/academic/0809academic_cal.html .
