Fairleigh Dickinson University hosted the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) for an event to honor high school students and teachers in the greater New York City area on September 7, 2013 at FDUs Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, N.J. Approximately 500 people attended the event, including Claes Nobel, co-founder of NSHSS and a member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes.

NSHSS has over 900,000 members and this was the first event they held in the greater New York area on a college campus.
