Campus provost and alum represent FDU at League of Municipalities
Political science Professor and College at Florham Provost Peter Woolley participated in a campaign politics panel at the League of Municipalities conference in Atlantic City, N.J., on Tuesday, November 19, 2013.
Presiding over the forum, “Campaigning – What is Needed for a Successful Political Career,” was Samuel S. Raia, FDU Metropolitan Campus alum, MBA ’79, and Mayor of Saddle River, N.J. Raia served as the chairman of the N.J. State Republican Party.
Bart Rossi, of Rossi Psychological Group, PA and the outgoing chairman of the N.J. State Republican Party, and Dale Florio, partner at Princeton Public Affairs Group, also spoke.
“FDU alumni, from the governor's office to both houses of the state legislature, gather here annually to interface with representatives from organizations all across the state. It is FDU's responsibility as New Jersey's largest independent university to be fully engaged in advocating for higher education initiatives and we're pleased to have the opportunity to participate,” says Woolley.
The League of Municipalities brings together all 565 cities, towns, boroughs, villages and townships across New Jersey to “pool information resources and brain power,” in the hopes of better serving Garden State residents.
