Jennifer Dize joins the College at Florham Office of Campus Life as the new coordinator for community standards. In this role, she will of course be handling the majority of the student judicial cases; however she has other plans for the future of the community standards office.
“Community standards should not be about punishing people,” says Dize. “But about building a community around those standards.” Her goal this year is to turn the common student perspective on the Office of Community Standards from “fear, to one that celebrates positive aspects of the community.”
To achieve the worthy goal of building a community around standards, Dize is starting a campaign called “We are FDU.” Students can nominate other students through Facebook who are living out the community standards of integrity, respect, compassion, and general good deeds. Each month, students who are nominated will have the chance to win an FDU hoodie.

Dize comes to FDU with excellent experience in higher education. She has a master’s degree in higher education from Miami University in Ohio and prior to starting at FDU, she spent five years at Moravian College in Pennsylvania as the assistant director of residence life.
