Cecil Abrahams Named Campus Provost for FDU-Vancouver
A native of South Africa and a prominent opponent of apartheid, Cecil Abrahams spent nearly 30 years in Canada as a university professor and administrator. Since 2004, Abrahams has been a Visiting University Professor of English at Syracuse University. [more]

Stemming the New Jersey Nurse Faculty Shortage
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) has awarded Fairleigh Dickinson University and two other New Jersey private colleges a four-year, $2.5 million grant to train future nursing faculty members. [more]

New PublicMind Poll on N.J. Race for Governor
According to a PublicMind poll released on July 1, 2009, Republican Chris Christie leads Governor Jon Corzine by a margin of 45 percent-39 percent in the race for governor. The new poll also asks voters for their opinion on the tax increases contained in the new budget.[more]
